For my project, I have created a series of photographs highlighting some of the realities and feelings of mental illness. Using colored background gels, strong contrast, and dramatic lighting I hope to create an intense atmosphere in my images that give off a sense of eeriness and unease. For the second half of the semester, I decided to work on photo montages centered around the idea of redemption and focusing on the healing process and journey.
